On this lovely Friday before the long weekend, I want to introduce you to Amin Kardan, Systems Administrator and our latest addition to BoardSuite.

The Laundry List…

Amin holds a degree in Computer Networking and Technical Support from Seneca College.  From system administration to IT consulting, Amin’s experience is vast.  At BoardSuite, Amin will be managing all things related to technology.

As a Systems Administrator, his role is to ensure that BoardSuite’s infrastructure is set up to handle future growth and acquisitions.

Here’s a long list of duties that a System Administrator generally has to take care of:  servers (local and external), physical or virtual mail, web and file servers, monitoring the network/hardware, security, disaster recovery documentation, researching new relevant technology, and maintaining backups and user accounts….and MORE!

The Commodore

Where did Amin’s love of technology begin?   Computers have been a passion of Amin’s from when he was a wee boy.  Amin recounted a touching story of how he begged his parents to buy him a computer.  When he arrived home one day, a Commodore was waiting for him – his first personal computer!  It was love at first sight.  As time passed, through trial and error, including a lot of online research, Amin began building custom PCs from scratch to support his online gaming habits!  Resourceful, isn’t it?

Soccer Fanatic

Amin is a bonafide soccer fanatic who runs a local soccer league when he’s not slaving away at BoardSuite.  Amin has a love of travel, reading, music, hitting the gym and fine dining.  More foodies in da house!
