Happy Friday folks!

PDAC 2012.  It’s almost here.  What is PDAC, you ask?   It just happens to be the world’s largest mining investment show and it only happens once a year.

From March 4-7, 2012, Toronto’s downtown core will be packed with international professionals in the mining industry.  You’ll feel the energy.

PDAC = Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada

From the PDAC 2012 site:

PDAC International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange is the world’s leading Convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration.

The four-day annual Convention held in Toronto, Canada has grown in size, stature and influence since it began in 1932 and today is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry. In addition to meeting over 1,000 exhibitors, 27,700 attendees from 120 countries, it allows you the opportunity to attend technical sessions, short courses as well as social and networking events .

Does it sound a little overwhelming?  Here’s something that will help you navigate the PDAC waters with ease:  a mobile convention guide.

PDAC 2012 will see the launch of NMN Mobi, an eco-friendly, innovative, interactive and user-friendly mobile Convention guide. It will take the experience of attending the Convention to the next level. Navigate the exhibits and exhibitor listings, technical sessions and speakers, find attendees in real time through the use of integrated social media links to plan onsite meetings and build your schedule on your smartphone.

And as I mentioned earlier, BoardSuite will be representin’ at PDAC; our trio of Relationship Managers, Connie Hill, Michael Fabing and Troy Kahler will be at the convention and giving us a live feed of PDAC events via Twitter.  And the rest of us, we’ll be there too…  So if you’ve got a smartphone folks, don’t forget to tweet and hashtag #pdac2012.

Speaking of Twitter, don’t forget to come to PDAC Tweetup 2012 – #PDACTweetup. This is the perfect event for you if you want to network with people in the industry who use social media.  The event is FREE and you can register here:  http://pdactweetup12.eventbrite.com/

That’s it for today!  Sunday is the start of the big event – so get some rest, because you’re going to need it!  See you at PDAC 2012 and don’t hesitate to say hi!

Cheers,
